Arriving in Moscow
Ok, you came to Moscow. Probably your flight landed into one of our airports.
What you need to know to successfully get from the airport to the city:
- 1. Not to accept the services from people who are strongly recommend you to take a taxi straight into the arrival hall. It will cost much more expensive than the services of an official airport’s carrier.
Drivers vying for your attention ask for outrageous sums, up to 200 USD (5000 roubles) for a 45 minute ride. Just say “no”. Official price is about 1500 roubles for transfer. Another good option can be to arrange for a private car through one of the many online travel services or Apartment rental business that serve Moscow travelers.
- 2. The easiest way to go from the airport - use the train. It is cheap, comfortable and quickly. You will be spared the painful standing in traffic jams at the entrance to Moscow. (Visit to official site of Aeroexpress trains). Price is about 150-250 roubles.
- 3. It is possible to go by bus or “marshrutka” (private shuttle-bus) - it is slightly cheaper compared to the train, but will take much longer. Especially if you arrived at Sheremetyevo. Price is about 60 roubles.
